More than just "The Scream": Munch in Potsdam and Berlin

Between September 2023 and April 2024, both the Berlinische Galerie and the Museum Barberini in Potsdam will be showing independent exhibitions of Edvard Munch's art. For Munch fans who want to visit both exhibitions, the museums are jointly offering a combination ticket. At a price of 20 euros (reduced: 12 euros), the ticket allows you to visit both exhibitions.
THE MOST IMPORTANT INFORMATION IN ADVANCE: After you have purchased a Kombiticket from one of the museums, please book a free time slot ticket in the webshop before visiting the other museum.

The Kombiticket allows one-time admission to the exhibition Edvard Munch. Magic of the North (September 15, 2023 - January 22, 2024) at the Berlinische Galerie and to the exhibition Edvard Munch: Trembling Earth (November 18, 2023 - April 1, 2024) at the Museum Barberini.
The sale of the Kombiticket ends on January 15, 2024. The exhibition in the Berlinische Galerie can be visited from September 15, 2023 to January 22, 2024 and the exhibition in the Museum Barberini from November 18, 2023 to April 1, 2024.
The Kombiticket can only be purchased online at the Berlinische Galerie ticket store and at the online ticket store of the Museum Barberini. It is not possible to buy it at the museum ticket offices.
The regular price of the Kombiticket is 20 euros and the reduced price is 12 euros.
The following groups are entitled to reduced admission:
- Students, trainees (including volunteers in museums)
- People with disabilities (from 50% GdB)
- Participants in voluntary social, cultural or economic years
- Federal volunteers
- Holders of an artCard from art-Magazin
- Holders of the Berlin WelcomeCard
- Berlinpass holders
The Kombiticket is not available as a family ticket. Children and young people up to the age of 18 are admitted free of charge to the Berlinische Galerie; children and young people up to the age of 18 and schoolchildren are admitted free of charge to the Museum Barberini. Please note that you must also reserve a free time slot ticket for children and young people.
There are two ways to purchase the Kombiticket: via the Berlinische Galerie ticket store or the Museum Barberini ticket store.

When purchasing via the Berlinische Galerie:
1) Go to the museum's ticket store. You can find it under this link.
2) Select the date and the ticket type "Kombiticket" as well as the number of Kombitickets.
3) Choose the time you would like to visit the Munch exhibition at the Berlinische Galerie.
4) Put the tickets in the shopping cart and follow the further instructions for purchasing the tickets.
5) IMPORTANT: You also need a free time slot for your visit to the Museum Barberini! You can book it in the ticket store of the Museum Barberini, which you can find under this link.
Please keep the purchased combination ticket as proof for your visit and show it when you visit!
6) Select the desired date and time slot of your visit. If there are no more free time slots available on your desired date, please choose another date.
7) Now select the ticket type and the number of time slots. The relevant ticket type for holders of a combination ticket is "House ticket free (0 Euro ticket)".
8) Place the tickets in the shopping cart and follow the further instructions to complete the reservation.
When purchasing through Museum Barberini:
1) Go to the museum's webshop. You can find it at this link or on the website under "Tickets".
2) Select the date and time you would like to visit the Munch exhibition at Museum Barberini.
3) Then select the ticket type "Kombiticket MUNCH" and the number of combination tickets.
4) Put the tickets in the shopping cart and follow the further instructions for purchasing the tickets.
5) You will receive TWO tickets after the purchase. The first ticket (with the imprint "MUNCH Kombi Regular Barberini") is valid for the entrance to the Museum Barberini, the second ticket (with the imprint "MUNCH Kombi Regular Berl. Galerie") is valid for the entrance to the Berlinische Galerie. Please keep both tickets!
6) IMPORTANT: You also need a free time slot for your visit to the Berlinische Galerie! You can book this in the webshop of the Berlinische Galerie.

7) Select the date and the ticket type "Time slot combined ticket" and then the time of your visit. If there are no more free time slots available on your desired date, please choose another date.

The exhibitions overlap for eight weeks: from November 18, 2023 to January 22, 2024. However, the Kombiticket can be used beyond this period: For example, if you want to go to the Berlinische Galerie in September and the Museum Barberini in February, this is possible.
The exhibition at the Berlinische Galerie runs from September 15, 2023 to January 22, 2024 and can be visited on all regular opening days (daily except Tuesdays), closing days are December 24 and 31, 2023. The exhibition at the Museum Barberini runs from November 18, 2023 to April 1, 2024 and can be visited on all regular opening days (daily except Tuesdays).
In the Museum Barberini, the Kombiticket also allows admission to the collection with works of French Impressionism. In the Berlinische Galerie, the Kombiticket is also valid for the permanent exhibition and all current special exhibitions.
We expect increased interest for both Munch exhibitions. Unfortunately, we therefore cannot guarantee that you will be able to reserve free time slots in the ticket stores on every date/time. We therefore recommend that you book a time slot ticket for the other museum in good time after purchasing the combination ticket.
