Barberini Friends Day

On Sunday, January 19, 2025, the Museum Barberini will celebrate its eighth birthday. As in previous years, we celebrate this event with our annual ticket holders, the Barberini Friends!
The museum is open on January 19 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. exclusively for the Barberini Friends – and everyone who wants to become a Barberini Friend on this day!
In addition to the Impressionism collection an extensive educational program awaits all Friends:
- 11 a.m.: Children's choir of the Singakademie Potsdam, auditorium (30 min.)
- 12 a.m.–4 p.m.: Open studio for everyone, painting techniques for all ages
- 12 a.m., 3 p.m.: How is an exhibition created? introducing the exhibition Kandinsky's Universe by Sterre Barentsen, curator, and Anna Heling, research associate, auditorium (30 min.)
- 1 p.m.: Public introductory lecture to art for families and children, auditorium (60 min.)
- 1:15–1:45 p.m.: Children's choir of the Singakademie Potsdam, in the collection (10 min. each)
- 1 p.m., 4 p.m.: Guided tour of the collection, focusing on favorite works and themes of the guests (50 min.)
- Introduction of the Barberini Art Club, foyer
Dates and tickets
On this day, admission to the museum is only possible with current Friends card or completed Friends application. Please note that there may be waiting times at the entrance and that the availability of places is limited.
