Richard Röbel was born in Chemnitz (then Karl-Marx-Stadt). As a performer, he is equally passionate about early and contemporary music. He has performed as a soloist, continuo player and chamber musician at various concert series in Germany and abroad and has appeared in radio broadcasts on Deutschlandfunk, Deutschlandfunk Kultur and in CD productions. Since 2020, he has taught harpsichord and piano at the Robert Schumann Conservatory in Zwickau and inspires children and young people to play early music.
