International Museum Day

The Museum Barberini invites you to International Museum Day on Sunday, May 18, 2025. With free admission, you can enjoy the exhibition Kandinsky's Universe. Geometric Abstraction in the 20th Century on its last exhibition day, as well as the 115 masterpieces in the Hasso Plattner Collection. A varied program is also on offer:
10 a.m.–7 p.m.: Free admission to the Museum Barberini (last admission at 6 p.m.)
11 a.m., 1, 3, 4 p.m.: Public introductions to art for all (auditorium, 45 min.)
10 a.m., 12, 2, 6 p.m.: Videos about the exhibition and the collection (auditorium)
12–4 p.m.: Open studio for all (courtyard, in the atelier in case of rain)
Culinary offerings from Café Barberini (subject to charge) round out the program.

As we are expecting high demand for International Museum Day, you will need a free time slot ticket for admission. This can be booked in our webshop from May 10. A maximum of four tickets can be reserved per booking.
