Reviving the Archive
In September 2019 the Wildenstein Plattner Institute, New York and Paris, held a conference on the current state of digitalization of art-historical archives in Europe. "Reviving the Archive: Material Records in the Digital Age" was organized in cooperation with the Freie Universität Berlin, the Rijksbureau voor Kunsthistorische Documentatie (RKD), The Hague, and the Museum Barberini. The conference brought art historians, scholars, archivists, and curators together to discuss the necessity of improved access to archiveal material and the possibilities offered by it.
