Trailer: Color and Light: The Neo-Impressionist Henri-Edmond Cross
In the 1880s a new style of painting developed from Impressionism in which bright colors where juxtaposed in short brushstrokes. Henri-Edmond Cross (1856–1910) broke reality down into individual bits of color information and discovered the Côte d’Azur for painting.
In collaboration with the Musée des impressionnismes in Giverny, the Museum Barberini presented the first retrospective at a German museum devoted to one of the most important Neo-Impressionists.
