New Frames for the Collection
In addition to researching the origins of works, the Museum Barberini always strives to present its art in the best possible way. To this end, the curatorial team not only considers the hanging, architecture, wall color, and lighting, but also typically replaces frames when a previous owner's choice no longer does justice to the painting.
